1. A transit visa is required at paris when travelling from London to Zurich via train and changing the train at Paris.
2. Does my family need any additonal visa (other than transit visa if required), as I am on UK work permit.

Hi,
I have received the EAD card yesterday with No finger prints available. But we have done our Finger printing before the EAD is approved. Approx 4 weeks before.
Is this normal? Or i should contact USCIS about this?
I know some applicants getting their EAD cards before finger prints were taken for them No finger prints available makes sense.
Any responses are appreciated

I had the same issue and I didn't write down the receipt number and USCIS customer support wasn't helpful to get the number. Now I am stuck and can send the support document only after receiving notification mail.

are you doing/done AOS or CP for your GC ?
After you get your GC , ideally you have to keep doing your job role mentioned/related in your LC. Pay cannot be less than local wages set in Labor dept.
If you are compelled to work for your Sponsoring employer then may be 6months is enough .

I got my Finger Printing notice today and I was comparing it with the 485 receipt. The 485 receipt had A# as A9xxxxxxx ( A with 8 digits) as the receipt number while the FP notice had A09xxxxxxx as the number.
The FP notice has a "0" after the "A" and the 485 notice does not have that 0. All the digits are the same but for the 0. Any one has it similar. do i need to worry abt it? any suggestions? You think i need to get it corrected?

Another question I had was about LUDs. I did my FP on Oct-29-07 on which date I also noticed an updated LUD (from Sep-25 to OCT-29).
However, on Oct-31, I noticed that the LUD was updated yet again to OCT-30.
Any idea what this could mean?

:confused: I have another question concerning EAD. I have a valid h1 visa stamped on my passport till June 2007. I have EAD and AP as well. On my return from India last month the inspector at the POE did not let me enter on my h1 and instead asked me to use my AP. He stamped my I 94 as entering on AP but he did not cancel my h1. Now what status I am on? H1 or AP? My EAD is expiring on 23rd Jan 2007 so if I am no longer on h1 then would I have to come out of job till I get another EAD? Won't this make me go out of status? Please advise.

I suspect, if the camera has a chargable clock battery, it's NOT a "user-servicable" part. The idea is that they don't break.
That's just a guess - I don't have a D70, so I don't know for sure.
I did a few entries in Google, with the result that I'm fairly sure the clock-battery is an internal non-user-changable battery [particularly a reference to the same technology being used on a Nikon D1].
I expect that aside from the inconvenience and shipping cost, the service is fairly reasonable in cost... But that's just a guess...

concurrent filing means filing of I-140 and I-485 together not two I-140s.

I filed the 485 for my wife and myself along with the forms for AP and EAD to the Phoenix lockbox by the 1st week of September and I have not received the receipt notice. The check also has not been cashed so far. I am not sure if I still have to wait or just panic. The customer service wants me to wait for little longer. My priority dates are current now and don't want to wait for another 30 days to realize that my application was lost in the mail room.
I have a delivery notice confirmation from UPS.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm having a little trouble with counting the years of experience for my EB2 petition. My attorney said I can only count the number of years I worked before joining the current sponsoring company!! The situation is, I jointed this company in Jan 2004. But my petition (Labor) appliction only started at the end of 2006. My attorney says that the three years of working experience (04, 05 & 06) can not be counted!
Is he correct on this?

My wife is currently on h4. She has applied for H4 to F1 trasfer i539 application with university A in May 2008. She is currently enrolled in University A on H4 as her application is pending. Now she got admission from a better unversity (starting Spring - Jan 2009) and she wants to join this university. What is the process to transfer her university given her i539 application is still pending (and probably remain pending till early 2009).
Regarding transfer, you need to wait from H4 to F1 before she can start attending classes.
Once you have a F1 transfer, all you need to do is talk to International Students Advisor dept of univ A and they would advise on what needs to be done. It's easy and straightforward.
Make sure that your wife still holds a valid I-20 from univ B, before you start this.
