When AP is approved, you get 3 copies. I went twice on intl trips and each time they took a copy. I am left with 1 copy of the AP.
Now I need to go on one last intl trip (I have applied for renewal). I just have one copy of AP with me.
How does it work? Will the officer just stamp the AP and make a copy?
The officer made a copy and returned the original to me the second time I travelled. But I had only 2 copies to begin with. Not sure how you have 3. They did'nt even ask me- I guess they are so used to it (I flew in to SFO)

Is that really true? I am not so sure about that. I thought you can get unlimited H1B extension as long as you have your I-140 approved. Do you really have to be retrogressed? Can someone confirm this please.
If what you are saying is right then let's say that I have filed my I-485 already because PD is current and my H1B expires but haven't received my EAD yet, what would my status be then until I recieve EAD?

While I think what you shot is just fine and would be glad to have done as well, I can see that the next "level" would be to do as you suggest and get some wheel spin. Cox's shot of the car with the blurred wheels and background gives a very definite feel of speed. Spinning wheels on your 3rd and 4th shots in particular, with a blurred background, would give a very clear feeling of a dirt bike roaring into the air and the expectation of a dirt-spewing landing. I can see where accomplishing that will take more than a couple of attempts. My favorites of the images you presented are the ones with dirt flying from the tires, because that gives the sense of motion.
I assume your gear required a good de-dusting after the shoot? Looks like dust was coating everything.

I faxed expedite processing request on last Tuesday and sent email to Ombudsman.
there was soft LUD on same day (address change) on my 485 & EAD & AP. Today status changed to card ordered for production. what a relief!!!!!!!!!
but any thing can happen till it comes to my hand

Address is a sensitive issue here in the US. USCIS aims to keep a tab on all aliens and has a rule regarding address changes being notified to the USCIS. They actually can penalize somebody who does not follow this rule.
So giving out a temporary address when you first arrive in the country could be okay but it is not okay once you start your employment/credit history.
Every address you have ever put on your credit card application/where you have received utility bills/received car insurance papers/dmv documents is actually pretty easily traced.
Just try accessing your credit report. It will list out all the addresses you have been in the past few years.
So having your friend's address for correspondence is a little tricky.
I have tried to have a PO box for correspondence with utility companies/credit cards/bank statements but as I understand you cannot provide a PO Box address to USCIS.
If I remember correctly when I went for fingerprinting they actually had a section for physical address and one for mailing address; but for most parts the documents you fill out for USCIS don't allow you the option of filling out separate physical address and mailing address.
Since the potential for being penalized by USCIS exists you should contact your lawyer and try to figure it out.

If a labor is applied in EB3 category and later 140 is applied under eb2(bs+5 year experince and salary range). Will there be any complications after invoking AC21?

Congratulations brother. One of the questions they ask is- are you a member of any association or any organization.If and when they ask, this would be a good time for you to inform the officer of any volunteer work you do. Or tell them how you contribute to the community. Also tell them if you donate to charities. Just a thought.

Hi,
I recently moved from Ohio to Maryland. But Maryland DMA is saying that they can not issue Maryland driver's license based on my Ohio license BECAUSE my Ohio driver license has "non renewable/non transferable" note in it. In Ohio for all non-immigrant, they give driver's license with "non renewable/non transferable" note. Until someone gets green card, the note will be there in Ohio driver's license.
Did anyone have similar situation moving from Ohio to different state? This is strange rule in Ohio. but now if I have to get driver's license in Maryland, DMA is saying that I need to start from the beginning like fresh driver starting from driving school, certificates etc etc.
Please help.

We had a similar problem during Dec 06 - Our bill came around 400 ...We reside in NJ...
We were surprised because we spent almost 20 days in Florida.
when we called our provider there wasn't much help ,they never accepted that it was a fault.
I immediately took a picture of my reading from the meter ,and gave copies to them and old bills of the last two years winter.
Then thet agreed not to charge for three months.
So check your meter...and previous bills usage ...for comparison...
But where were you at a stretch all those months??

My lawyer who handled my H-1b transfer told me that. I find it logical as well. If you are the beneficiary of an approved H-1B petition, then why can't you go back to that status whenever you want. So I think its correct. however she did mention that she handled the case of a person who was on EAD for about an year. i am assuming his old H-1B petition must've been valid when they filed again.

I got the same mail and kept me thinking about it; Just another way USCIS keeps us on our toes and in suspense, since the years of wait is not sufficient.....; Anyway, looks things are moving. Great Job by IV and the teams, starting from July 2007 visa bulletin; the community is great and good source of information. I will do my best to continue my support for IV as before and to all the immigrants or waiting to be one. Good luck to everyone.

I have not left the USA for the last 5 years. I have since extended my H1- thrice. So I have 3 new I-94's and the old one that is stapled in the passport. I-94 is taken at the airport when you depart, to record your departure and also to see if you were residing legally on a valid stay. Question: They always take the one stapled in your pasport. (That in my case shows an expired stay.) so should I give them the latest I-94 when I depart?.
You should take a copy of the I-797's and detach the portion of it and staple with the existing I-94. If you read the I-797 carefully, they mentioned it to put it in your passport, means, all I-94s must be handed over before you leave. Sometimes, you may have different I-94 numbers, so it is better to give all I-94's.
You can not do anything by retaining those I-94s after you leave, just take a copy and give them back.
BUT, make sure that it is in valid period. If you have got a new I-797, where the period has not started, DO NOT GIVE IT BACK, take it with you to the consulate. Give I-94's only up to the period you are leaving.

if they revoke the petition after 180 days that you filed i-485 nothing will happen you can invoke ac21, if before you can not
